Find a spot close by to sit down and close your eyes.
  • What do you feel?
  • Is it rough?
  • Is it smooth?
  • Is it hard?

SIGHT

Stop! Look around.
  • What colors do you see?
  • What shapes do you see?
  • What plants and animals do you see?

HEARING

Close your eyes.
  • What do you hear?
  • Is it a nature-made sound or a human-made sound?

SMELL

Take a big breath in through your nose.
  • What do you smell?
  • Does it smell good or yucky?

TASTE

This one should do at home so you don’t taste something that could make you sick
  • What are some of your favorite foods to taste?

When you get home, draw or write about your observations. Be sure to include the location, weather, time of the day, and date.
