Jeffers Workshop FacilitatorJerry’s involvement in education began in 1972 as a 7th-grade life science teacher in East Grand Forks, Minnesota. He never got out of 7th grade, teaching life science for 35 years. After retiring in 2007 Jerry continued his passion for teaching performing science magic shows across the state to elementary and middle schools, substitute teaching, teaching science methods to pre-service teachers for SMSU in Marshall and, of course, facilitating Jeffers workshops which he absolutely loves. His science methods course has a large focus on the Jeffers curriculum. Jerry took his East Grand Forks students to Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center for 32 years, a tradition that continues today. Jerry enjoys spending time with family which includes his wife, Kathy, three daughters, and 12 grandchildren.
