The goal at Grandview Middle School is to create an alternative learning environment where students engage in a hands-on learning experience. Working in the garden also deepens their understanding and appreciation of where food comes from. The school garden is a place for learning, but also a place to build community and enjoy nature. Parents and community members are encouraged to help with the garden and work alongside the students. They worked with MN GreenCorps, teachers, principal, community members, and staff at Gale Woods Farm to build and maintain the garden.
