Waconia Public Schools
- One-half acre veggie garden & 65 fruit trees in orchard
- Garden designed to teach students the ‘seed to table’ progression
- Produce served in lunchroom summer & fall as well as donated to local food shelf

- Two garden coordinators & summer interns organized the garden
- Won ribbons at county fair for their veggie entries

The Waconia Edible School Classroom contains several gardens and an orchard. The “edible classroom” is designed to teach students about the “seed to table” progression. In the summer months, Kid’s Company participants maintain all the gardens and enjoy fresh products served in the lunchroom.
